Life by books — the chota peg series

How to stop worrying and start living was probably the first self help book that took the world by a storm and created a genre of writing advocating quick and catchy solutions to all business and life issues. The market is flooded by these How to become rich , successful, effective sales men and communicators as also good lovers , exemplary parents and generally successful in all walks of life. Ridiculous.

The only golden rule is that there is no golden rule. Personal and professional success is a complex process and is dependent on a plethora of factors as varied as history and country of birth to mental and psychological make up to political circumstances to individual accidents and events which shape up a personality. Standard ways and means to good life have been rendered meaningless with the massive technological invasions which are changing us everyday. Hence all these self help books are basically cheap wisdom packed attractively and presented effectively much like the sermons of our religious gurus. If life could be lived in straight jackets in a given form and could ensure predictable results much of its spice, charm and mysteries would be lost for ever.

After the chota peg!!!
